    Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham is a service organisation registered under the Charitable Trusts Act. It started its activities 54 years ago with the primary object of serving Ayyappa Devotees undertaking the arduous journey to Sabarimala. In course of time the activities of the Sangham had to be extended in scope and variety. It also strives at building up a well knit Society free of trivial discords based on caste, creed or colour.The propagation of `Ayyappa Dharma', conducting religious classes, establishing and maintaining schools, libraries and medical institutions etc are other important activities. The Sangham has a large number of temples, big and small, under its direct management and control. It also publishes a regular magazine `Sree Ayyappan' in Malayalam language from Thiruvananthapuram and a Tamil edition `Om Sree Ayyappan' from Madurai for the purpose of promoting pilgrimage to Sabarimala and for propagation of `Sanathana Dharma'. Plans are also afoot to launch an English version and a Tamil version of the magazine. Devotees are earnestly requested to contribute appropriate articles for publication in these magazines. There are no plans at present to release a corresponding internet E-Zine edition..

The development and healthcare of fellow human being of our nation is the foremost concern of the Trust with emphasis on children and youth with Cerebral Palsy and other childhood disabilities.Other voluntary organisations in Kottayam District were focusing on other areas of disabled children turning a blind eye to the above section. The outcome of this humble thought is the Special School named “ JYOTHIS “ with the aim to induce special developmental training, education and to create an environment for these disabled children to develop, learn, function and live as social citizen.
