| Durga;s odyssey in the ocean of music was flagged off from Sri Jayadurga Temple, Varapuzha, way back in the year 1997, where she performed her first ever classical music concert (Arrangettamm). Since then she never looked back and today, after performing in more than 250 stage concerts, it has become a way of life for her to accept the appreciations and blessings from people of all walks of life. Kerala Kalamandalam is the premiere public institution in India imparting training in and conducting performances of the classical arts of Kerala viz. Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Mohiniyaattam, Thullal and Panchavaadyam.
