The last day of the event saw the culmination of the exhibition and the special seminar on IT enabling services in Education.Ms Sarada Muraleetharan IAS, Director of Collegiate Education, chaired this session. Prof. S S Prabhu, Former Dean, IIT Kanpur, during his presentation said that global dissemination of IT in Education is the second renaissance in the history. He also said that today virtual reality has become as reality itself through education.Dr Srivatsan, Director IITMK, announced that his institute would be soon formulating a Kerala Education Grid to promote e-education in order to maximize the quality of instruction in all colleges and other education centers of Kerala. “Development of content resource is very important for the success of this education grid” he said, “this project attempts to squarely take the challenge of appropriate use of IT and Internet in Education using a knowledge enabling and learner centric approach.”
